5 Fun Easter Treats for Kids

Budding flowers and singing birds are signaling the arrival of spring.  The other sign that the weather may be turning is the addition of pastel candies and Easter-themed aisles at the grocery store. To celebrate Easter, we wanted to spotlight some fun kid-inspired Easter treats that the whole family will love!

Bird's Nest

The CurvyCarrot.com has a simple no-bake recipe for a delightful chocolate treat. What's even better is that it's not only simple, but affordable. All you need is a bag of chow mein noodles, semi-sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, cadbury eggs, and peanut butter.

Easter Basket Cupcakes

This tasty recipe from Betty Crocker.com features a sour apple candy strip for the handle and tasty Easter goodies on top of a cupcake, making them a fun food project for the kids and a perfect addition to any Easter party or family gathering.

Peep S'mores

Who doesn't like a good, melty S'more? Well, here's a fun twist on the original recipe and a great way to gobble up leftover Peeps from the holidays from Eclectic Recipes.com.

Oreo Chicks

These are so so easy, adorable, and delicious! And, they only take a few minutes to make, so they're the perfect addition to Easter parties and egg hunts, or a fun classroom treat.

Easter Egg Hunt Cookies

This recipe from Making Memories With Your Kids has all the right ingredients for a delicious Easter treat: Cadbury Creme Eggs, cookies, frosting and M&Ms. What could be better than that? These are a little more complicated than some of the treats above, so make sure to follow the step-by-step directions laid out.
