Rainy Day Crafts for Kids: 5 Projects They'll Love

There is something about Spring that gets the creative juices going.  Whether it's the approaching Spring Break or additional down time on the weekend, there are several crafty household projects that kids will enjoy doing.

1) Homemade Bird Feeder
This simple project from the Moffatt Girls Blog uses an old toilet paper roll, no-sugar peanut butter and some birdseed.

2) Cute Bookmarks
Put an end to dog-earring your page in a book with this simple and fun crafts project from CT Baker in the Acres blog.  All you need is some paper, scissors, hole punch and glue.

3) Stain-Glass Kites
Makes and shows you how to make a colorful kite from construction paper and old tissue paper to brighten up any window in your house.

4) Rain Paint
Looking for a way to turn a rainy day into a burst of sunshine? This easy project from uses washable markers and some card stock to transform drawings into unique art.

5) DIY Frames
Of course you will need some frames for the Rain Paintings or any other creations from your talented little artist.  The Gold Jelly has an easy DIY art frame using spare cardboard or card stock.
