How about dry erase paint? This is the stuff they make white boards out of. So you can have all the fun you want with your doodles, Honey-do lists and love notes, except you don't have to deal with the chalky dust!
And, it's white. Got an all-white kitchen or white walls? There you have it! Those pens come in so many colors it's hard not to have fun.
Want to DIY? Just be sure your surface is smooth and clean. Check out the manufacturer's suggestions for surface preparation and application to get the best results. Try painting a piece of Masonite or very smooth wood to put into a frame for a custom look, or go for a whole wall to encourage the muralist in your family.
Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart and Ace Hardware stores carry Rustoleum's products, they may carry the dry erase paint, too. Check out their video product demo on this page.
MDC also sells their commercial-grade dry erase paint online, check out their information as well. Their products are used heavily in classrooms across the country, so they know a thing or two about white boards. They have low-odor, LEED-qualifying paint in several different colors--warm whites, gray whites and cool whites.
Until next time!
