Today, I’m so excited that I get to write about French chairs. If you’re like me, you love all things French and can’t get enough of vintage styles that are so popular today. Thanks to Jennifer Adams Design and Lifestyle for letting me share some of my finds from around the web with you.

French chairs seem to always be in style and for good reason. Their curvy lines and often ornate detailing make them a lovely addition to a traditional or eclectic room. The most popular French chairs come from each of the King Louis’ styles, which were originally created for the grand salons where nobility gathered to discuss the arts, literature and politics.

The following are a few of my favorite French chairs. Which is your favorite?

This pair of lovely linen covered chairs boasts the French Rococo style with curvy feminine lines.

Elegant and sophisticated, these graceful chairs are the perfect fit for this formal dining room.

Oval back side chairs sit gracefully in this charming dining room. They also contrast nicely with the dark wood of the table. A modern light fixture gives the space an eclectic feel.

Neoclassical arm chairs in the Louis XVI style are gorgeous dressed in pale blue and gold.

Two antique painted bergeres are hand carved with fluted legs. They would be lovely in a romantic living room or master bedroom.

A Rococo arm chair is dressed in an unexpected modern fabric making it perfect for an eclectic room.

This pretty little chair in fuchsia and white fits perfectly with the shabby chic decor of the room.

Zebra upholstery on these two side chairs gives a fun vibe to this eat-in kitchen. An ornate lighting fixture hung above the table would dress the space up. Wouldn’t you love to have a cup of tea or coffee in this space?
