Design Tips: Vintage Stoves with Style

They really don't make a lot of things the way they used to. In some ways, that's a good thing. In others, it's unfortunate. Gone are the days of intricate ironwork and handsome chrome on the backbone of the kitchen, the range.

Or are they! Elmira Stove Works makes new ranges that look old. So if you have a house that has no place for straight sleek lines and crisp stainless steel boxes, or if you simply like the vintage look, start shopping. They will custom make whatever you want.

Gas burners with a self-cleaning electric oven in a style to suit your circa 1875 farmhouse? in Black? All electric, computer-controlled '50's range in turquoise to match your mid-century ranch? They have it.

Modern function in a vintage shell. And you can get a matching refrigerator, wall ovens and even a microwave! Who cares that those things were invented long after your house was built. They still come in handy.

Elmira Stove Works will also make vintage looking panels that fit modern appliances, including those newfangled time-saving devices called dishwashers. Panels are available for Bosch, Miele, even including the hottest modern trend, dishwasher drawers!

How's that for back to the future?

Until next time!
