About this time of year we start seeing lots of sneak peeks into the holiday offerings of major retailers. But you'll have to wait, they're not in stores yet! Look online and in the stores starting soon.West Elm's
giftworthy creations caught my eye. These lovely recreations from original handcrafted artwork are charming, beautiful, clever and personal. And, affordable. Best of all, they all help support some very worthy causes!
The handsome silvered glass owls, at top, will sell for $14-19 each and will benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
West Elm is generously sharing half of the purchase price with the charity!
West Elm also created "The Mug Project" where the seven mugs, selling for $8 each, will help seven charities, including Boys & Girls Clubs of America, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Heifer International, ASPCA, NRDC, Architecture for Humanity and Teach for America. Again, half of the price will go to the charities.
The lower image shows the mugs as well as few of the beautiful "12 Days of Christmas" set of papier-mache ornaments. They are made in Haiti by hand through the Aid to Artisans non-profit organization. West Elm claims to be the organization's biggest retail partner. The set will sell for $79, and helps support the local Haitian artisans.
Support the arts as well as charities this holiday season!

Keep checking, right now they have some great Halloween stuff!
