Design Tips: Bathroom Sinks go Beyond Utilitarian

Since when is your bathroom sink anything more than useful? The latest vessel sinks and streamlined integrated countertops / sinks we've seen certainly push the envelope of what we are accustomed to seeing in the bathroom.

But these stunning finds go far beyond handsome. Sonobath's new offerings designed by Jae Omar put the words "enigmatic" and "mysterious" into a usually mundane place! Where does the water go? How does this sink not leak all over
the countertop? How on earth is it made?

Part puzzle, part sculpture, part magic, these sinks display Omar's clever playfulness with shape and material and will have you using way more water than necessary just for the sheer pleasure of it.

The sinks are made from Caeserstone, a durable and attractive quartz product made from resins, binders, glass and stone, often recycled and usually made into countertops. The Caesarstone is formed, cut and polished to create standalone sinks or integrated countertops.

And though you'd never know it looking at the top of the sink, standard drainage plumbing attaches underneath. Kinda kills the mystery, doesn't it?

These designs make me more envious than before. I already know that my bathroom is just simple but looking at this makes me hate it a little more. I do love the faucets.
