In great anticipation of the season four premiere of Mad Men this Sunday, I thought I'd celebrate it's influence on design. The show takes place at a New York advertising agency in the 1960's. From the opening credits by Imaginary Forces to the amazing set, it's like a perfectly preserved slice of the past. It has made an impact of everything from cocktails to fashion.

On a side note, just for fun, on the AMC website, a visitor can "Mad Men Yourself", look at a retro Cocktail Guide or get Mad Men Fashion tips.

I love a modern twist on vintage style, which it why I love the 2010 version of 1964. Here are a few websites that have a vintage look and feel, bringing the past to the present...

Alright, I'll admit that I created my own Mad Men avatar (below). Go ahead, try it! Don't be a square!

So long for now!

"Not only are these sheets amazingly luxurious to sleep on but they also don't need pressing to look nice and crisp. I’m ordering another set!"
