Lone Star Style

Every area has their own taste, their own aesthetic. Since moving to Texas two years ago from California, I've had the pleasure of working with Texas natives and learning what Texas style is all about.

My first road trip to Texas was an introduction to the intense love and pride that Texans have for their Republic. Driving into west Texas, giant lone stars and state flags greet motorists. The richness in their cultural heritage is very much celebrated in just about every instance, including in business.

When working with a Texas business, I've noticed how their pride plays a huge part in how they want their business to be perceived. They want it known that they are Texan to pay homage to the place they love and call home, but they also have their own personal style they want it paired with.

Here are some examples of Texas pride with personal style:

This is what I call modern with a rustic Texas twist.

I love the contrast between her beloved Texas ranch and the gorgeous high-end work you can see in this web gallery.

This clients' love for all things Elvis and Johnny Cash paired with Texas country music made for an excellent marriage!

This quaint little joint was true to Texas BBQ and to the building's history. In the 1940's this place was a gas station, and to honor that past, the owner wanted the logo and website to evoke a retro feel while the BBQ remained Texas to the core!

As you can see, each has a specific personal style and a great love for the Lone Star state. I've really enjoyed creating and conceptualizing for such passionate people and look forward to more, after all, my passion lies in design!
