This week I’m traveling and as I collect the bits and pieces from my adventures such as pictures, ticket stubs, stickers, and other memories the question of how best to display these moments when I return has been on my mind. Scrap booking is a great solution, but for a more prominent display that can be useful as well, try a bulletin board that can be easily decorated for any room.
DIY network has a great easy to follow guide to making a cloth and ribbon covered bulletin board (http://4ze.us/6Yw)! It’s super easy and cheap and can be a creative way of holding memorabilia, notes, calendar, or anything else you want to remember. The additional ribbon is not required, but can be a fun visual effect as well as a convenient place to tuck a ticket stub or photo into. In terms of cloth choice you can either pick something to blend in with your wall or something to stand out and pop. This might be a fun way of bringing a bit of color into a room. If you are a college student and are stuck with a boring white, why not use these boards to personalize your room while also keeping assignments and social schedule organized side by side with those snapshots of you and your friends.
Also this is a great opportunity to keep a single item, in this case a simple cork board and reuse and redecorate it as many times as you want throughout your life; And as we know, I am all for recycling. So next time you need a place for to-dos and have-dones, think about creating one of these great boards.
