Creating Art from Type

I love the art of typography and find fonts to be very beautiful. Many times a word or title in the appropriately chosen font can convey the same emotion, response and beauty as an image can to support an article, ad or blog.

Some designers go beyond and create works of art with just fonts, taking typography to a new level: Creating art from type. Type isn't just for titles anymore! Take a look at some of these brilliant examples:
This piece includes words to describe rock fans while creating a well known rock symbol.

This frilly heart is full of loving words.

This example labels the parts of an actual heart!

Typographical world map. One of my favorites!

This is an example of a portrait of Angelina Jolie made entirely of type. Amazing!

As you can see, typography can be much more than a title or main body, it can be the artwork.
