Ever wonder why the beds in the high end luxury hotels feel so amazing…..Here are some Secrets to making the most comfortable bed in the world!
Avoid Heavy textures. I am a huge fan of texture because it adds such visual and tactile drama to a room, unless it comes to the actual part of your bed that touches your skin. Anything touching your skin should be very smooth to the touch. It will make a huge difference in your sleeping experience.Go for smooth surfaces

Sheets…..How important is thread count? The answer is it's not nearly as important as people think it is. I have purchased 1000 thread count sheets that felt terrible. In my experience through purchasing bedding for so many clients, I can't even keep track now, is that the key component to comfortable sheets is purchasing a sheet that contains Sateen. If you have a sheet with Sateen, and a thread count of 400 or so, you should be just fine. My favorite, moderately priced sheet is still Wamsutta's Sateen Brand that can be found at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Satin Sheets…once thought of as luxurious…are they really comfortable? Not in my opinion! I purchased them once and had to take them off in the middle of the night! Avoid them if you truly want a good night's sleep!
Calm Patterns… avoid heavy patterns…subconscious effect on comfort level. They will be very visually stimulating when you walk into the room during the day, however, when it's time to actually hit the hay, and get a good nights sleep, heavy patterns often times feel chaotic. Which is the
exact opposite of what we are trying to achieve.
Apply these few simple principles when purchasing your bedding and you can make a dramatic impact to your sleeping experience!
